Geeks Ahoy: Catalogs, Anti-Semitic Viruses, and Froogle

– You tree huggers will love Google’s new catalog feature, allowing you to browse catalogs online and save your mailbox from clutter. You can’t take the next logical step however and actually order from them. Always thinking out of the box, those guys. (Lifehacker)

–Last week, we learned of the blog from Lunatic Iranian. This week, the bizarre quotient is upped significantly with the news that his blog launches a virus attack on any Israeli IP addresses that access it. Any Israeli using Internet Explorer, that is. Yet another argument for Firefox.

–Google has kicked Froogle off its home page, which can’t bode well for the shopping search. I say go for it; Froogle is clunky, ugly, and directs me to unscrupulous retailers. Yes, I will keep hinting at the fact I’ve been had in a shopping transaction until they refund my money. At which time I’ll write about it. Bastards.
